SE07 : Novartis Social Business in the digital age: New ways of expanding access to healthcare

Novartis Social Business (NSB) is set to improve the provision of high quality, best in class treatments to patients in Low and Mid Income Countries LMICs, ensuring the access to state-of-the-art healthcare. Supply chain problems often make it difficult to get essential medicines and healthcare commodities to patients in a timely fashion, particularly in remote areas. Technological developments especially in the area of digital tools have shown to be widely accepted and once deployed offer the possibility to overcome complex obstacles at lower costs and in an efficient way. NSB explores the use of digital innovation to further accelerate and enhance programs set to increase the reliability of supply and the provision of the right treatment at an affordable price.
